Linux Mint is a community-driven Linux distro based on Ubuntu, that is currently used by millions of people across the world. It is the first operating system that Mac and Windows users are attracted to when they shift to a Linux-based environment. Linux Mint has been around us since 2006 and has grown and advanced into a user-centric OS.
Linux Mint works on providing the best user interface (UI) and ease of interactivity. Like other Linux distros, Linux Mint contains a plethora of open-source applications, alongside providing the ability to discover, download, and install other applications through its package manager utility. In addition, this OS offers Long-Term Support (LTS) releases valid for approximately 5 years.
Linux Mint is available for free, and almost everything hosted by it is open-source. It thrives to being a user-centric, easy-to-use, modern, and elegant OS that is both robust and configurable.
